Gurgaon: In relation to an attack on bouncers and employees of a city nightclub on the evening of August 31, one individual was taken into custody at Sector 43 red light on Sunday. Rakendra Daima, also known as Rocky, a 23-year-old Kadarpur, Gurgaon inhabitant, was identified as the culprit.
The complainant claims that three young people arrived at the club at one in the morning on August 31 and demanded admittance in defiance of a stag-entry restriction. When the cashier refused, they allegedly claimed local influence, and a fight broke out. A gang of seven or eight men, armed with sticks and rods, returned at around 1.35 am and attacked the gate bouncers before attacking the cashier and hitting him in the head with a brick.
An officer claimed that before they left the scene, they threatened more violence, stating, “We have only hit with sticks so far; next time there will be bullets.”
After being transported to Marengo Asia Hospital, where he departed against medical advice (LAMA), the injured guy was subsequently admitted to Sector 51’s Medharbour Hospital.
At first, doctors said he wasn’t fit to record his statement. He named the suspects in a written complaint he made on September 1. The victim’s accusation led to the filing of a formal complaint at the Sector 65 police station.
According to police, Rocky acknowledged that he and his buddies took part in the assault after a fight with the bouncers and staff got out of hand. “We are conducting intensive searches to apprehend the remaining accused and will arrest them soon,” said a police official.
