Gurugram News: Authorities have issued strict directives banning the movement of motorcycles, scooters, auto-rickshaws, and tractors on NH-48 and the Dwarka Expressway. Police personnel will be stationed at key entry points to stop these slow-moving vehicles, and violators will face fines, said ACP (Traffic Headquarters/Highway) Satyapal Yadav.
Despite these orders, traffic rules continue to be openly flouted on the Delhi–Jaipur Highway (NH-48) and the newly built Dwarka Expressway. Although DCP (Traffic) Prateek Gehlot instructed officials to restrict the entry of slow-moving vehicles, motorcycles, scooters, auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws, and tractor-trolleys are still seen using both routes without interruption.
Just three days ago, the Gurugram Traffic Police held a high-level meeting to strengthen road safety measures and prevent accidents. Officials claimed that police teams had been deployed at major entry points to stop restricted vehicles. However, the ground reality tells a different story, with neither effective enforcement nor manual challans being issued against violators.
