Iran War Update: Fresh Fighting Puts Interim Peace Deal at Risk

Iran War Update

Dubai: Tensions between the US and Iran have escalated again, putting their fragile interim peace deal at risk. The US carried out fresh airstrikes on Iranian military targets after accusing Tehran of attacking an oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran responded by launching drones and missiles toward Bahrain and Kuwait, with Kuwaiti air defenses intercepting the incoming attacks. The US said the strikes were a response to Iran violating the ceasefire agreement.

The renewed violence has raised concerns over the future of the 60-day peace deal, while security threats in the Strait of Hormuz continue to disrupt one of the world’s most important oil shipping routes.
