Gurugram Man Found Hanging at Home; Wife Detained After Family Alleges Foul Play

Gurugram Man Found Hanging at Home

A 36-year-old man employed at a multinational company was found hanging at his home in Gurugram’s Surat Nagar on Thursday. Police said the incident allegedly occurred after ongoing marital disputes, including his wife’s reported decision to seek a divorce.

According to police, only the man’s wife and their seven-year-old son were present in the house at the time of the incident. The child reportedly recorded a video on a mobile phone after seeing his father hanging, while his mother can be heard calling for help.

Family Alleges Foul Play

The deceased, a native of Amritsar, was living with his family in Gurugram. His relatives have alleged that prolonged disputes between the couple contributed to the incident.

The family has accused the wife of involvement in the man’s death and demanded a detailed investigation. Based on the family’s complaint, police have detained the wife for questioning and launched an investigation.

Police said they are awaiting the post-mortem report to determine the exact cause of death. Further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.

Investigation Underway

According to the police, the wife informed both families about the incident after discovering her husband hanging. The video reportedly recorded by the couple’s seven-year-old son has become part of the investigation.

The deceased’s family has questioned the circumstances surrounding the death, claiming there were several suspicious aspects and insisting that a thorough probe is necessary.

The couple had married in 2018 after meeting at their workplace. They have a seven-year-old son, and the investigation into the case is ongoing.
