Gurugram News: Fire Breaks Out in 10 Shanties, Controlled Within an Hour

Gurugram: A fire broke out in shanties near the Banjara Market in Ghata village on Thursday afternoon. Upon receiving the information, three fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the spot from the Sector-29 fire station. The firefighting teams managed to bring the blaze under control after about an hour of intense effort. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident. However, a significant amount of household goods kept inside the shanties was destroyed.

The fire broke out due to unknown reasons at around 3:45 PM on Thursday afternoon near the Banjara Market. Families living in the shanties and nearby residents initially attempted to extinguish the fire on their own, but it could not be controlled. Following this, the Sector-29 fire station was informed about the incident, and three fire engines were rushed to the scene. Sub-Officer Naresh Kumar from the Sector-29 fire station stated that the firefighting team successfully controlled the fire. No injuries were reported, and it is suspected that a short circuit may have caused the fire.
